Rush Hour App Reviews

Excellent

I used to play the "real" Rush Hour game, but this version is better. Its much easier to set up and start over, plus it counts the moves so one knows if theyve solved the puzzle in the minimum number. Theres also a great variety of puzzles.

Better Than the Physical Game

I still have my original Rush Hour game and several card decks. This app is more convenient, and it adds the challenge of solving each puzzle with the minimum number of moves. It is a great way to pass the time while exercising the brain.

Love this game.

Really works this old brain of mine. Love that I can pull out my phone and play it anywhere.

Great Game BUT

You cant listen to music while playing.

Tiles are out of alignment

This new update broke the game. It would appear that the cars are off the tracks, making the game much harder. As a result of this, it is also impossible to click or move anything. PLEASE FIX

What are points for?

I loved playing this game as a kid! So happy there is an app. No more having to use the cards and setting up each game. I just dont understand the points that you get when you complete the puzzles. There isnt any upgrades or special things you can unlock...so what is the point??

Love this game!

Very entertaining and challenging

Rush Hour

Great fun for all ages. My five-year-old grandchild is learning to think and plan ahead with this game.

Solid

Matches the plastic mode game but with a whole bunch of additional levels. Love it!

Rush Hour

Fun game. Different levels for plenty of challenge.

i HAVE the car

Loved the board game as a kid, so seeing this on iOS was sweet. I mean, 2500 puzzles for like 3 bucks? You have to be a freaking computer to do all that! Put simply, I spent longer playing this game than all kinds of $60 AAA console titles. If you like Rush Hour, just get this. Couple minor complaints: -The animation that plays when you solve a level imperfectly is a bit long. Still better than in the earlier versions when the car drove directly over the UI which was all "thats wack man" and a bit infuriating when trying to perfect earlier levels, but the animation where the guy in the car is all "RAISE DA ROOF" when you finally perfect a level and youre like "AWWWWW YEA YOU KNOW IT" makes it all worth it. -Having the perfect move count on screen after clearing a level with wasted moves wouldve made going back through all 2500 levels perfectly like I told myself I wouldnt a lot easier, so Id know whether or not to slam it home on a path that improved on my best. But yea, worth it. There needs to be more addicting games like this which are intellectual in a way that isnt explicitly designed to anger you by making barely impossible levels at choke points and demanding ransom to continue (*cough* Candy Crush *cough*). A well-done game.

Update broke ability to play music

Recent update broke the ability to play music in the background. Rookie ios developer mistake. Plus the new colors are horrible. Please fix.

Brilliant

Its a great game, whether the original or the iPad. Thank you!

Good game

Would like to know more how puzzles are in each level total, and more about final solve performance of each, e.g., number of attempts, how this compares to others..,

A classic puzzler.

The board game version of this is my all-time favorite brain teaser (mine is so old, the name on it is "Binary Arts"). The Squares Counter is fun; reworking a puzzle to find the least number of moves is a real kick-like going for the 2 point conversion. Buy this app, it is a great puzzler!

Fave

I love this game. I also love teaching with this. I use both the app and board game. Cant wait for more puzzle apps from ThinkFun.

Excellent puzzles

The only reason it almost didnt get five stars is that the controls became a little touchy in the bottom left corner with the most recent update. Other than that, this is an excellent implementation of an old favorite, so much so that I gave it five stars anyways.

Love it!

This is a fun, fun game. And the IPad version is as good (maybe better?) than the actual, physical version itself. Who knew?

Good one

Brain game

Brain works

Love the challenges ... gets my mind thinking!
